Health Trainer programme in Hackney and the City
Health Trainers are now available in the community across
Hackney and the City to support you to take realistic and practical
steps to improve your wellbeing.
We can help you make that lasting difference; we will help you
turn your dreams into goals and your goals into actions. Amongst
other things, we can offer you a holistic way of thinking about
your health and wellbeing, and link you into a wide range of
opportunities.
We work out in the community in partnership with local
organisations – this is so we can really reach people who will
benefit most from what we have to offer. We will work in
partnership with Hackney Homes, TRAs (tenants’ and residents’
associations), and other community based organisations.
The health trainers based at Shoreditch Spa can offer support to
anyone over the age of 16 who wants to make positive changes to
their lifestyle. We have specialist health trainers working in the
Charedi community as well as the Turkish and Kurdish
communities.
Hoxton Health has health trainers specialised to support people
over the age of 65.
Health Trainers are free to residents of Hackney and the City
and you can refer yourself by calling one of the numbers below.
We will also be developing referral relationships with health
service professionals such as GPs and pharmacists.
